US President Joe Biden spoke at the White House on August 26 about two attacks outside Kabul airport, Afghanistan that killed more than 70 people.
Biden’s statement was made after two explosions at Kabul airport on the evening of August 26, killing at least 13 US soldiers and more than 60 Afghans, and injuring 140 others.
In a solemn speech from the White House, Biden praised the dead US soldiers as `heroes` and said the evacuation mission from Kabul would continue until the scheduled withdrawal date of August 31.
`We will not be discouraged by terrorists, we will not let them stop our mission. We will continue the evacuation,` Biden emphasized.
The US President said US forces will launch as many sorties as possible before the deadline.

Biden also said he saw no evidence that the Taliban colluded with IS fighters to carry out deadly attacks in Kabul.
`There is currently no evidence that there was collusion between the Taliban and IS to carry out what happened,` Biden said.
An injured woman was taken to hospital for treatment after two explosions outside Kabul airport on August 26.
The deadly attacks occurred as the US and its allies were stepping up evacuation efforts at Kabul airport.
President Biden has not yet spoken to the families of service members killed in Afghanistan, the White House said, indicating that the process of notifying relatives is underway.
