`I started playing tennis when I was four years old and admired many excellent players,` Carlos Alcaraz shared in an interview on the sidelines of the Miami Open.

Alcaraz shared photos of practicing with Federer at Wimbledon 2019, calling the Swiss legend the best tennis player in history on grass.

Alcaraz showed his bravery when winning the Miami Open with an 85% break-point saving rate and winning three out of four tie-break series.

`It’s very difficult to compare anyone with Roger Federer, but if I have to say one name it’s Carlos,` coach Juan Ferrero said about Alcaraz’s playing style.

Japanese tennis player Kei Nishikori also said that Alcaraz is more similar to Federer than Nadal.

Alcaraz trained at Ferrero’s Equelite academy for many years.

`I’m really happy with the level of play I’m showing,` Alcaraz added.

Alcaraz possesses a rare record for a teenage tennis player when facing opponents who were once in the top 10 in the world, winning 19 and losing nine.

Winning two tournaments since the beginning of the year helped Alcaraz have 1,950 points and move to second on the ATP Finals Race to Turin scoreboard.
